Smart Core x Archilogic: Two systems of record, one complete solution.

Announcing the Smart Core Connect x Archilogic integration

The dashboard problem

Most digital twins are dashboards. They show you what's happening in your building - temperatures, occupancy levels, energy consumption - but they can't do anything about it.

And there's another problem - they rarely know where things are.

Your BMS tells you Zone 4.2 is running hot. But where is Zone 4.2? Which meeting rooms does it affect? Who's sitting there? To answer those questions, you need to open a different system, find a floor plan, and try to match them up manually.

Meanwhile, your workplace experience tools - visitor management, room booking, tenant apps - often run on completely separate data. They might have floor plans, but those floor plans are static images from the last fit-out which may already be outdated. At best, their inclusion is passive and disconnected from what's actually happening in the building.

The result: operators can see data but lack context. They can observe but not easily act. And the people using the building get experiences that don't reflect what's actually going on within the building.

Know what's happening and where.

We've taken a different approach. Instead of bolting more dashboards onto existing silos, we've connected two systems of record:

Smart Core BOS for building systems

This is the "what". Real-time data from HVAC, lighting, access control, sensors, and other building systems. But BOS isn't just monitoring. It's a control layer. You can take action: adjust temperatures, trigger lighting scenes, manage access, automate responses.

Archilogic for spatial data

This is the "where". Live, structured floor plans that show where spaces, assets, and people are. Not static PDFs, but queryable data that stays current and connects to other systems. Archilogic is also a Microsoft Places official partner, so this spatial data flows into the tools people already use.

Layer these together and you get something more powerful than either alone: a digital twin with both dimensions.

Here's what this looks like in practice:

Scenario: A meeting room is uncomfortable

With a typical BMS, you'd see that Zone 4.2 is 3°C above setpoint. You'd need to figure out which room that is, check if anyone's booked it, decide whether to intervene.

With Smart Core x Archilogic, you see the temperature issue in spatial context - it's Meeting Room 4.12, which has a 20-person session starting in 15 minutes. You adjust the HVAC setpoint directly, so the room is comfortable when people arrive, and nobody felt it necessary to file a complaint.

Scenario: A visitor arrives

A guest checks in through Smart Core Connect, and instantly sees interactive wayfinding to their destination - based on Archilogic's live floor plan data, not a PDF from 2019. When they arrive at the meeting room, the lighting adjusts to "presentation mode" because Smart Core BOS knows a meeting is starting.

The blinds close.

The AV powers on.

The visitor didn't configure anything, yet the building responded.

Scenario: Space planning

You want to know which meeting rooms are underutilised. With spatial data from Archilogic and occupancy data from BOS, you can query: "Show me rooms that seat 10+ but average less than 4 people per booking." The answer comes with floor plan context - you can see where these rooms are, what's around them, whether they could be repurposed.

That's the difference - not just data, but data with location. Not just visibility, but visibility with control.

The experience layer

Smart Core Connect sits on top of this foundation and turns it into workplace experiences.

Visitor management uses live spatial data so wayfinding actually works, while space booking shows rooms in context, with accurate availability, and can trigger building systems when a booking starts. Tenant apps give occupiers visibility into their environment - and in some cases, control over it.

Because Connect is powered by both systems of record, these experiences stay accurate. When a floor gets reconfigured in Archilogic, wayfinding updates automatically so that, when building systems detect a problem, it shows up in context.

Multi-tenant, multi-occupier

This matters especially for multi-tenant buildings.

Shared spaces - lobbies, amenities, bookable meeting rooms - need to work for everyone. With Smart Core, these are managed centrally but accessible to all occupiers. A shared meeting room shows up correctly for every tenant. Book it through Connect, see it in Outlook via Microsoft Places - same room, same data, however you access it.

Building operators get a single view across all tenants, while tenants get experiences tailored to them. The spatial and building systems' data underneath is consistent for everyone.

Why this matters now

Buildings are under pressure to do more: attract tenants, reduce energy costs, improve occupant experience, enable flexible working. Doing any of that well requires knowing what's happening in your spaces and being able to act on it.

Dashboards that only display data aren't enough - and neither are floorplans stuck in PDF format. You need systems of record that connect with a control layer that lets you respond, and an experience layer that makes it useful and intuitive for everyone.

That's what we've built with Smart Core x Archilogic - two systems of record, operational control, workplace experience. All in one complete solution.
